Original North

Original North - is a small family business located on an estate named Vað in Þingeyjarsveit which has belonged to our family for generations. The camp is on the banks of the glacier river Skjálfandafljót. There is considerable fishing in the river during the summer, both salmon and trout.

Near the camp we have the forest Fosselsskógur and near the forest we have two historical places Þingey and Skuldaþingsey, ancient parliamentary places. Between the two islets Skjálfandafljót runs in to Skipapoll via Ullarfoss, one of many beautiful waterfalls in Skjálfandafljót.

We offer a memorable journey through the enchanting Kjarnaskógur forest, marvel at the stunning views of Akureyri, and pedal through the historic streets of downtown. Immerse yourself in the rich stories of the old town as our knowledgeable guide leads the way.

Included in our tour is access to the Forest Lagoon.

Country house

The house is on three floors. It has 4 bedrooms, accommodation for 7- 8 people. Well equipped kitchen, living room, dining room. Two toilets and one shower. Guests have also access to washing machine, dryer, deck outside, barbeque and hot tub.
